This LA couple chose to buyout the beautiful Makanda by The Sea for their 80 guests. They wanted everything locally sourced, and for the event to feel like Costa Rica. The ceremony space was small so Aimee designed a floating lucite bridge that led to an archway exploding with vibrant tropical florals. Welcome coconut cocktails served double-duty as guest escort cards. The reception was in the hotel’s beautifully designed restaurant, combining more nature meets modern design touches. As guests entered the reception, the sunset filled the sky with color and a troupe of monkeys clambered in the trees above. It could not have been a more quintessential Costa Rica moment.
